GROUP FACILITATION SKILLS

 

A group facilitator is the catalyst that makes things happen not the fountain of all wisdom. This is one of the hardest roles to play in any form a group work. Most of us are used to participating in a task to get a job done. The role of the facilitator is not to do the job but to ensure that the job is done by minimising pointless arguments, maximising the individual strengths of every member of the group and maintaining a constructive approach to the task.
